Activity Number 1 “Food Critic” After traveling around the country, during my vacations, I finally arrived at my favorite restaurant, but actually, this is not a restaurant, this is a food truck, in the middle of nowhere, kind of, the food truck is always placed near a plaza in Poanas, Durango, Mex., and you must be asking, “What food does the owner sell so you are okay with all the trip?”, the owner, whose name is Chuy, sells seafood. As soon as I arrive, I ask for three things, one “Coscorron”, one “Entero” and a soda can. The “coscorron” is the broth where the fresh shrimps are boiled; Chuy takes a small plastic cup, he puts some broth in, then he puts some drops of the spicy salsa “Valentina” and squeezes half lemon inside, he gives you a spoon so you can shake and mix it. The “coscorron” is cold, this makes it different from other broths. The taste is incredible, not too spicy, with a delicious acid taste that you feel in the sides of your tongue, and the slight taste of shrimp. The “entero” is a large plastic cup filled with fish ceviche, this ceviche is made with tomato, avocado, purple onion, coriander, a drop of ketchup, a drop of salsa “valentina”, a squeezed lemon, and fish. The fish is prepared in lemon, some people think that the fish is raw, but it is prepared as tuna or salmon in sushi. Eating there is pretty delicious, so it is, that I order the same thing in every occasion that I go there, but, there is a lot of diferent food, for example, you can order your “entero” with shrimps, or octopus, or oyster, also, you can order up some “tostadas” with ceviche; you can find all kind of delicious seafood with Chuy, and that’s why all the people in the village knows him, maybe he is the most popular person in all the village, and that’s great to his buisness....
