Description

Causing, Frances C. BSA 1-14 ACTIVITY NO. 1 What are the concerns of practical men based on your own observation of how an ordinary life is lived by everyone? In relation to it, why philosophy is a shame for others? As the term practical men used and mentioned in Philosophical matter, which one only understands and recognizes the importance of material needs in life, that men need food for their bodies but is unaware of the value of providing food for their minds. Based on my observation of how an ordinary life is lived by everyone, nowadays, due to the constant growth and development happening all over the world, based on my observations people are striving to win or be more successful than others in life as the world becomes more competitive, and it seems that philosophy is gradually losing its value in people's lives. Where most people's main concern is how they will live, their minds are less concerned with philosophy and more concerned with how they will survive in this world. They only consider things like finding a job and making enough resources to meet their daily needs. And According to Bertrand Russell, the goods of the mind are just as important as the goods of the body in today's modern world, which is the importance of having goods in mind or having a philosophical mind gives someone with a level of knowledge that extends beyond the daily grind to a vital understanding of life and the universe It helps in the development of reasoning skills by enhancing our ability to reason which is essential to one’s life. Philosophy is a shame for others because in the nature of philosophical thinking, it has been described as shame in the deep sense of fear of disclosure of human weakness . Shame is a universal and fascinating aspect of human life. It's something that one can legally require of another, but it's not something that most people are aware of as an option. It examines the human mind and judgement so in philosophy one knows the standards and right and wrong but even though they are aware of what is right and wrong some of them is still exercising the wrong doings, philosophy illuminates the bad side of someone of its philosophical journey so others are shame of Philosophy. In relation to it, based on how everyone lived their lives, just what I’ve mentioned that the world is constantly developing and that people are changing and only caring for material things for their survival; we can't blame them for this; they are affected by the world's constant development and choose what will enable them to survive in their lives. They perform unethical behaviors in order to live, as well as for those who have desires in life, and they engage in unethical behaviors in order to fulfill those desires. Hence, that is the reason why philosophy is a shame for some, since it is how others lived their lives.
