Alternate Fuels: The Disneyland Railroad steam trains and Mark Twain Riverboat use biodiesel made from used cooking oil from Resort kitchens to fuel their steam boilers, eliminatng an average of 150,000 gallons of petroleum diesel use per year. Cleaner-burning compressed natural gas (CNG) is used to power the following vehicles at the Disneyland Resort: Sixteen guest parking lot trams, eliminatng approximately 56,000 gallons of diesel use per year. Various atracton vehicles, including Sailing Ship Columbia, Rafs to Tom Sawyer Island, Jungle Cruise boats and the Main Street, U.S.A. vehicles. Cast member parking lot shutles, Toy Story parking lot shutles and back-of-house trams. In additon to many atracton ride systems, the following vehicles do not release any harmful emissions into the air: The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage submarines use magnetc coils to propel the subs, eliminatng the use of hundreds of thousands of gallons of diesel fuel each year. Since it debuted at the Disneyland Resort, the Disneyland Monorail has been powered by electricity, emitting zero direct emissions. All parade foats are electrically powered and approximately 350 electric vehicles and 30 clean fuel vehicles are used back-of-house by our cast. Electric Vehicle Charging Statons Twenty ChargePoint electric vehicle charging ports are available in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure for guest use and ten additonal charging ports are available for cast member use at the Team Disney Anaheim parking structure. Disneyland Resort theatrical lightng for shows, including "Fantasmic!" and "World of Color." Atracton and atmosphere lightng, including Mickey s Fun Wheel the Cars anand mountain range, gig Thunder Mountain Railroad, interior lightng in Space Mountain and the Materhorn, as well as Pixie Hollow in Disneyland park, which features 25,000 anED fxtures and 1,000 anED strobe lights. Centralized energy management systems control lightng and indoor air temperature for maximum energy efciency, based on companywide energy policies and operatonal reuuirements. Euuipment, New guildings and Renovatons: A thermal energy storage tank provides a more energy-efcient cooling process for buildings inside Disney California Adventure park. The tank runs overnight, creatng chilled water that is stored for use the next day for air-conditoning needs throughout the park....
