Description

Animal Farm alternate ending The farm was no longer a safe haven for animals to be in, they have realized. Seeing how they can no longer differentiate the pigs from the humans, they have come to a realization that their situation is much worse than before, when the humans themselves were in control. Fearing for their lives, the animals that were left to work themselves to death, obeyed each and every command the pigs under Napoleon. Benjamin tries to sit under the shade, exhausted. He thought to himself "where did we go wrong?", questioning the very start as to why they started a rebellion that would enslave them even further. The night came, Benjamin was starving and begged Squealer more food as he was very tired that day. Squealer shrugged him off, smirked at his face and ate a piece of carrot. The poor donkey closed his eyes, slept it off and hope for a better chance at tomorrow. "Gather up comrades! Someone call the dogs!" a pig shouted from a distance. All the other animals were disgruntled by the noise that they heard, "could it be?" "no way!" "what was that?!", the goats and the horses screamed. They could see a light from a distance, a torch that slowly became bigger, they could not imagine having to fight another hoard of farmers while they were very hungry and may not last the fight. Upon closer inspection by the birds, they could see a white pig from a distance along with farmers and their horses. Napoleon readies his whip, he knew what was coming, he should have finished what he started, he thought to himself. It was Snowball, the exiled founder who he drove away to seek revenge. Napoleon, along with his army prepared their weapons and secured their perimeter. Napoleon did not want to be in the battlefield, he masks his cowardice by whipping his comrades and telling them what to do. As the fight ensued, the animals of the Manor Farm did their best to disarm Napoleon's army and

greeted Snowball and his army. They secured every last part of the farm except Mr. Jones' old house, where Napoleon was the only pig standing. Snowball took his time approaching the house, bearing injuries from the day he was driven out by the dogs. He then stormed the house where he found Napoleon, his old comrade and his biggest enemy. Napoleon pleaded with his life, stating that it was the plan all along with Old Major's prophecy of freedom. Snowball did not want to hear any of it, he called it blasphemy as Napoleon tried to taint the Elder Pig's reputation. Napoleon, knowing that he has no more escape plan, pointed the gun to himself and pulled the trigger. Days after the invasion, Snowball has introduced the new people and animals he was with. Convincing the other animals that they were different from their previous owners, telling them that they were not going to exploit them for their resources but to provide for one another. Benjamin walked up to Snowball to thank his old friend, trusting his choice of working with humans in order to restore peace and equality among the animals. The animals and their new human friends rejoice in their victory, they restore the farm into its old glory; where animals provide for themselves and not for the profits of farmers who exploited them. The humans that were in their farm knew exactly their boundaries, not one person tries to milk a cow without its consent, a mother hen’s egg is safe with her, the horses do not have to plow fields or carry heavy equipment. Snowball looked at the farm once more, happy but not quite satisfied. He knew that when he left, that there was so much that could be done, but realized that he does not want to fall to the same trap that Napoleon fell in; “one step at a time, there will be peace”, he thought to himself.
