Rather than being so critical, we should consider how it has expanded our social circle to new levels. This is because social media can keep us updated about our acquaintances, relate with one another, and allow us to expand our social circle effortlessly. Firstly, social media does not make us less social because it allows us to keep in touch with many people, such as our friends or family who live far away. If they usually update their activities through Instagram posts or stories, we may know about their activities daily. For example, we will be able to learn about our friends' daily lives in other cities simply by looking at their Facebook or Instagram posts. Thus, social media does not make us less social because it allows us to keep up with our friends and families. Next, social media does not make us less social, as connecting with our acquaintances makes it easier to relate with one another. There will always be a side of our friends that we never see, or they did not tell us, such as their favourite meals. Usually, a person will be different on social media compared to how they carry themselves in person. For instance, a post from Instagram can let us know about our acquaintance's favourite things. These few things will help us to grow better social understanding with each other. Hence, social media makes us easily relate to our friends and does not make us less social. Finally, social media allows us to expand our social circle, which was previously mostly limited to contacts acquired through our school, work, and familial relationships, allowing us to communicate with more people. Previously, we rarely communicated with people who were not part of our daily lives. We can now reach millions of personal online profiles or start immediate Instagram conversations with a single click, transcending time and location, thanks to social media. Therefore, socializing is like fishing which the social media net will undoubtedly catch more fish than a single communication rod. In conclusion, social media can keep us up to date on our acquaintances, allow us to relate with one another, and allow us to easily expand our social circle. I am adamantly opposed to the idea that social media has made us less social. Instead, social media gives a platform for communication that can improve our social lives while also providing comfort and convenience....
