Description

The article, "The Digital Divide: The Challenge of Technology Equity", seeks to explore the gap between demographics and regions that have access to modern information and communications technology, and those that don't or have restricted access. This technology can include the telephone, television, personal computers and the Internet. The research problem being explored is the Information Technology that has been growing rapidly each year yet why most of the world's population does not have access to the computers of the internet. The article briefly stated that the Information Technology greatly influences the way we live and work today. It was also explicitly explained that internet makes our work easy, communicate instantaneously and associates business around the world. In contrast to these statements, the article clearly pointed out that although the number of internet users is growing exponentially each year, majority of the world's population lack what most of us would consider a basic communication necessity and interaction between human and computers has greatly increased as we embark on the twenty-first century. It has been observed that households earning incomes over $75,000 are 20...
