2

Goals need to be concrete, observable, realistic and timely. Organizations have a better road to achieving success and fulfilling their vision by setting simple, achievable expectations.

The objective of Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd is to become the leading company in the baking industry and the associated food and beverage industry, recognize and emulated for products of the highest quality that delight customers. Types Of Plan-Standing Standing plans are made to be repeatedly used again and again. Such plans are built to direct management decisions and actions on issues that are repetitive in nature. Standing plans are often referred to as 'repetitive use' plans because they have guidance for future action. These plans provide unity and uniformity of actions to meet recurring situations at different levels of the enterprise. These plans have ready instructions to handle recurring situations. Such plans not only assist in coordination, but also in successful management. Standing plans include policies, processes, tactics, rules and strategies for goals.

Gardenia is widely distributed to ensure that everybody can have their bread, either in urban or rural areas. As we all know, baked goods from Gardenia are wellknown to everyone. Throughout Peninsular Malaysia, Gardenia has over 20000 outlets. In almost all hypermarkets, supermarkets and even neighborhood shops, their wide range of goods are available. Here, Gardenia aims for market share by intense distribution, a strategy in which they stock their goods in as many outlets as possible.

Gardenia is launching mass promotions. For example, it uses mass media such as TV to advertise its products and introduce consumers to new products while ensuring that customers recognize their current products. To market its products, Gardenia has used promotional campaigns. TV ads and newspapers are often used by Gardenia, among the different alternative media.

Marketing decisions are essentially highly influenced by changes in the political and legal climate. The growing focus on ethics and socially responsible behavior promotes the execution of their social responsibilities by for-profit organizations. For example, Gardenia has reacted positively and they embrace this obligation by

offering free bread to old folk homes, centers for disabled people and other charitable organizations. A stronger public image of the organization can be constructed by doing so. This also indirectly allows the company to gain exposure to more marketing possibilities.

Types Of Single Use Plan Such arrangements are made for the control of non-recurring issues. As these are designed to address a particular problem, single-use plans are often referred to as 'specific plans'. These proposals are designed to deal with non-repetitive and special problems. Such plans can not be used again and again; after achieving their objective, they become obsolete. Projects, budgets, programs are examples of these plans.

Gardenia Bakeries began with the first bread rolling off its line. It became the bread market leader within a few years, and its product range expanded and developed. Gardenia also manufactures a wide range of baked goods to meet the demands of its customers. It offers different kinds of bread, such as white bread, low-fat bread, wholegrain bread, sandwich bread, cereal bread, and flavored bread. It provides Squiggles, Twiggies, Fluffy Buns, Fast Bites, etc. for kids and teens. Under the name FattreMeal, which decreases cholesterol, Gardenia has low-fat fiber meals for the elderly. A wide variety of cereals, cream bread snacks, soft rolls, jams, waffles, ice creams, and creameries are also sold, etc. Gardenia manufactures toothy and tasty food goods that satisfy hunger and are full of nutritious ingredients.

For Gardenia, computer systems such as monitoring inventories, logging accounting transactions, and storing customer profiles are used to monitor its operations. The use of information technology has made the operation of commercial activities easier and quicker. This helps the organization to become more successful as well. Therefore, if manufacturing companies such as Gardenia neglect the latest technologies, their business can decline in this contemporary one.

3.0 ORGANIZING

Organizing is a management process that includes the creation of an organizational structure and the distribution of human resources to ensure that goals are accomplished. The organization's structure is the framework through which efforts are organized. Typically, the structure is depicted by an organizational chart that provides a graphical representation within an entity of the chain of command. Decisions taken on an organization's structure are commonly referred to as decisions on organizational design.

TYPES OF PRODUCT DEPARTMENTALIZATION Activities of grouping by product line. It can also be clustered according to a particular product or service, putting all product or service-related activities under the supervision of one manager. Each major product area in the company is under the jurisdiction of a senior manager who is a specialist in everything related to the product line and is responsible for it. Based on Gardenia Bakeries's corporate structure, the form of departmentalization employed by the corporation is the structure of the commodity group. For starters, all practical activities (finance, promotion, development and so on) related to the product line are coordinated by managers and subordinates. This suggests that the boss is tasked and grouped depending on the role they have played within the organization.

Chain Of Command

The command chain is the continuous line of authority that reaches to the lowest levels from the upper organizational levels and clarifies who reports to whom. This leads to the conclusion that one and only one boss should be directly accountable to an employee. At least one worker can have to report to two or more bass and have to deal with competing demands or expectations.

Therefore, some businesses think that each worker should have only one boss, a concept called unity of command. Unlike the larger Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd, the unity of command is rational when organizations are comparatively is simple which is a rare example of unity of command in this organization.

Span Of Control

Among organizations, the period of control received a great deal of publicity. As such, their power period is being expanded by many organizations. In the past decade, the cycle for managers in such a sector as Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd has spent substantially. Efforts are being made to expand the control period to save decision-making time.

By looking at the contingency variable, the period of control is gradually calculated. It is clear that the more workers have training and experience, the less direct supervision they require. With a wider period of experience, managers that have well-trained workers will work.

The similarity of employee duties, the difficulty of certain tasks, the physical proximity of employees, the degree to which structured processes are in effect, the sophistication of the management information system of the organization, the strength of the value system of the company, and the manager's preferred management style are other contingency variables that will decide the acceptable range.

Line And Staff Responsibility

Within almost all organizations, such as Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd, line and staff positions or divisions exist, but the people holding these positions play very different roles. Departments along the line are specifically interested in the distribution of the organizations' product or service. They have formal authority for decisions concerning the organizations' core development activities. In comparison, personnel departments are not part of the command chain of the product or service delivery system, but rather support line departments.

Line staff or working groups may invite employees to provide expert advice or to perform specific support services. Staff personnel do not have jurisdiction or responsibility for actions that apply to the organizations' core delivery mechanism.

Based on our organizational structure, the types of departmentalization that has been used by the company is product divisional structure. For example, the managers and the subordinates coordinate all functional tasks (finance, marketing, production and

so on) related to the product line. These means the manager doing task and grouped based to function they performed within the organization.

4.0 LEADING

A leader is people who can see how things can be changed and who rallies people to move towards the better vision. By putting people first, leaders will work towards making their vision a reality. It is not enough just to be able to inspire people. To be effective, leaders need to be empathetic and communicate with people. Leaders don't have to come from or follow the same direction from the same history. In reality, future leaders will be more varied, which brings a range of viewpoints.

Leading encompasses the social and informal sources of influence that they use to encourage others to take action. Their subordinates will be enthusiastic about making efforts to achieve organizational goals if managers are efficient leaders. To be clear, leading is a mechanism that motivates and directs the members of the organization so that they contribute to the achievement of the organization's objectives.

Inside the company, a common leadership concept will keep everyone on the same page and help plan for the future for some styles of leaders. In order for the right people to end up in positions to lead, companies often need to have leadership filters. If an organization's common leadership concept revolves around humble leaders acting as servants, it fuels leadership filters and helps to build and encourage leaders that suit those characteristics. Similarly, an organization may filter for leaders who achieve their corporate or financial targets, which ensures that only leaders will be promoted in the company that prioritize such things.

Trait theory, behavior theory, and contingency theory are three approaches to leadership. Gardenia Bakeries (KL)Sdn.Bhd used the leadership's behavior theory approach. Production-centered behavior and employee-centered behavior are two basic types of leadership through the use of Michigan University Studies.

Production-centered conduct is leading conduct that focuses mainly on how wellsubordinate their work is done. Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn. Bhd manager's, for example, set strict job expectations for their workers, coordinated tasks down to the last detail, prescribed their work and closely monitored the work of their employees.

Employee-centered behavior is leadership behavior that focuses mainly on individuals who are subordinates. Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd managers, for example, empowered the employee to engage in target setting and other job decisions and helped to ensure high performance by encouraging trust and respect.

Power is the capacity to exert control, which is the mechanism by which managers influence the actions of others. They were most likely using expert control, as Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd. Because of expert knowledge and expertise, expert power is the power to influence another person. In their market, since they have technological expertise that others need, bread specialists have considerable expert control. Other than that, incentive capacity is also used by Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn.Bhd. Reward power is power dependent on resource management and incentives. They gave their workers a raise and a better work schedule in their company.

5.0 CONTROLLING

Control may be described as a mechanism to ensure that the organization's achievement is monitored by real actions or procedures, to assess anomalies (differences) between expected and actual outcomes and, if necessary, to take corrective action. Several forms of control such as per-action control (feed-forward control), steering control, screening control (yes or no control) and finally post-action control were used by Gardenia corporation (feedback control).

Feed-forward control is a control that reflects on the content, financial, or human capital that function as inputs to the process of change. Per-action control. This method of control is often referred to as proactive control because it is intended to ensure the input output is high enough to eliminate concerns in the process of transformation. In Gardenia Low Fat Fibremeal, for instance, think about the

protective controls that might take place before the production of Gardenia's bread. A key input for Gardenia Low Fat Fibremeal manufacturers such as bran and wheatgerm, honey, wholegrain, fiber and vitamins. To make a nutritious loaf, these ingredients must be of high quality. A preventive monitoring scheme may also be introduced to inspect the product level, the complete necessary fiber and vitamins and other imperfections. Finally, the satisfaction level of the company and client will improve gradually.

Steering control is the next control. This method of monitoring is meant to track ongoing operations and ensure that the mechanism of transition works correctly and produces the desired outcomes. Consider the development of Gardenia Low Fat Fibremeal again, to demonstrate. Machine operators must track their operation on an ongoing basis to ensure that each bread book is stable in terms of quantity of ingredients and high quality. Corrective steps will need to be taken where these criteria are not perfect. For instance, temperature, time, quantity, and other variables must be perfectly controlled in compliance with the procedures. After that, screening control is a particular check point that must be reached safely before an operation goes on. An operation, substance or service must be approved or satisfy a particular requirement before progressing to the next procedure. For example, the Gardenia company will often ask customers for input on the consistency, flavor and other variables of our products. Based on reviews from consumers, we will take steps to strengthen our offering.

Lastly, post-action control can be described as a control that takes place after the end of an action. It is to assess the outcome of such acts, and disciplinary action is taken and extended to subsequent behaviors and actions where issues arise. For starters, the Gardenia business will still be up to date with the taste and fashion of the customers. Gardenia also provides consumers with a website to get the latest information about the commodity of Gardenia and the history of Gardenia. Gardenia will, on the other hand, use the specifics of customer reviews and recent performance to upgrade and improve in the future.

6.0 LOCUS OF DECISION

Decision-making is the system in which the management themselves consider and address the challenges posed by the organization and focus on opportunities. Decision-making may also be described as the mechanism is chosen as the way to deal with a specific issue over the course of steps.

Types Of Decision Making In general, there are two types of decision making that are programmatic and nonprogrammatic. The decision-making style of programme is standardized. Both the laws, systems and practices have already been arranged. A routine approach is used to tackle this form of decision making. For example, Gardenia Bakeries (KL) must be open at 8 a.m. The dress code given must be enforced every single day and to all employees. Furthermore, for non-program type is unstructured which is happens unexpectedly. Usually, this type of decision making needed higher level management to settle out. It is also non-routine decision that come out in reactions to uncommon opportunities and threat.

Types Of Condition Under Decision Making In decision-making, there are many types of circumstances. Certainty is the first one. The decision-maker need to thoroughly understands what will result and will be able to describe the result exactly. Like Gardenia Bakeries, they know exactly what will happ...
