Supernatural phenomena have always been a topic that people relish, and some supernatural phenomenon have not yet been explained.The story “The White Wyrak ” written by Stefan Grabiński makes the supernatural more believable than Saki’s “Sredni Vashtar” because the creature in the “The White Wyrak” is weirder than the ferret in the other story. The former is described in relative detail in the story, when the narrator and Kalina clean the chimney, they see the “huge, owlish yellow eyes” and “in his front claws what seemed like a human arm, which hung limply from a corpse” (151). This quote demonstrates that the wyrak’s strange physical characteristics and habit of eating human is coincide with some of the strange creatures in the supernatural phenomenon, which may seem weirder and much more supernatural than the ferret in another story....
