Why was there a need for reform for this social problem?

Child labor was in need of reform because many children were missing out on their education and even socialization. The only other kids or people they would interact with was the people in the workplace or their families.

Despite the fact that the majority of social reform groups did not pay attention to the issue that children were being treated unfairly and forced to work in hazardous conditions, some individuals made it their top priority. Among them was Mary Harris Jones, who made it her mission to protect workers' rights, including those of children.

Many children were forced to work in factories and other hazardous places during this time. Families could not support themselves with just two parents working. Reformers wanted to prevent this from going any further because so many people disagreed with children working under such harsh conditions.

Poverty needed reform so that everyone could live sustainably and support their families. Now, there are plenty of aid systems that are in place to help those in need

Quite a few people realize that there are many poor families all around, but they don't pay much attention since there are families who are facing their own problems.

Several people created organizations to assist people in need. Jane Adams Hull House and the Social Gospel Movement are two famous examples of these.

Why was there a need for reform for this social problem? Reform was needed for housing because there needed to be a system of regulating structures so that they wouldn’t fall or create disasters.

A number of new tenements were being built, but several problems were associated with them, such as lack of ventilation, faulty plumbing that could not prevent fires and diseases that were caused by contaminated water.

In America, there are inspections for all buildings, meaning that they are built to a certain standard. This ensures safety and well being inside these buildings.

Part 2 –Answer the question in a complete paragraph of at least five sentences. Use information from the lesson to phrase the answer in your own words. Evaluate the effectiveness of the Social Gospel movement in addressing the important social issues of the Industrial Age. In your answer, reflect on the immediate solutions as well as long-term effects.

During the 1800s, the Social Gospel Movement became very popular, but eventually lost its significance. Ministers abandoned all ideas of industrialization and devoted themselves to social and religious doctrines. Their goal was to reach middle-class and lowerclass people and help them adopt social doctrines over individual doctrines. To achieve this result, they formed the labor movement. While all these efforts were made, the labor movement collapsed, and the only big achievement was that it prepared the way for middle class progressivism....
