1. There are 6 different musical ideas in this piece: - Idea A: 0:00 to 0:15 (The sound is like string instrument) - Idea B: 0:16 to 1:19 (The sound is like string instrument) - Idea C: 1:20 to 2:19 (The sound is like trumpet) - Idea D: 2:19 to 3:19 (The sound is like piano) - Idea E: 3:19 to 3:47 (The sound is like string instrument) - Idea B: 3:47 to 4:23 (The sound is like string instrument) - Idea F: 4:23 to 4:51 (The combination of many instrument) 2. The timings of the different sections of the piece: - Section 1: 0:00 to 0:15 - Section 2: 0:16 to 1:19 - Section 3: 1:19 to 3:47 - Section 2: 3:47 to 4:23 - Section 4: 4:23 to 4:51 (Section 4 seems like the coda) 3. The unity is expressed by repeating the idea B along this piece The variety is expressed by using dynamics and timbre - Dynamics: there are different level of volume in this piece - Timbre: Many instruments are used such as string instrument, trumpet, and piano. Specifically:  Idea A: 0:00 to 0:15 (The sound is like string instrument)  Idea B: 0:16 to 1:19 (The sound is like string instrument)  Idea C: 1:20 to 2:19 (The sound is like trumpet)  Idea D: 2:19 to 3:19 (The sound is like piano)  Idea E: 3:19 to 3:47 (The sound is like string instrument)  Idea B: 3:47 to 4:23 (The sound is like string instrument)  Idea F: 4:23 to 4:51 (The combination of many instrument) 4. Although there are sections that feature one instrument over others, I think this is a piece for an ensemble because in each idea, there are more than one instrument are played. 5. This piece is jazz music, with the characteristics: - Uses blue note, which are notes that aren’t part of the regular musical scale - Uses traditional instrument in unusual ways - Relies on syncopated rhythms 6. I think this piece could serve the specific purpose of background music in some party or coffee shop. 7. This piece of music will bring the feeling of comfortable, soft, little bit cheerful, and it will make people relax....
