Assignment #3 JOUR 200 September 21st, 2018 Denmark’s Dollar Forty-One Menu The only source that is really mentioned in the article is the New York Times; other than that no specific resources were stated. In addition to just one source, they also only referred to one example. They used the example of the difference with McDonald’s pricing in Denmark versus the United States. Although this is a valid example, they should have given other reasons; simplifying stating the price of a cheeseburger in different countries should not be the only evidence available to prove a point like this one. I did some further research and explored more of the minimumwage.com site. I found a review of minimumwage.com on sourcewatch.org. According to sourcewatch, minimumwage.com is a scam. They voice their opinions online about equal minimum wage for the poor and/or uneducated, but behind closed doors are rooting for and opposes national and state efforts to raise the minimum wage. The owner of minimumwage.com is Berman & Co., who as a company, is known to counteract campaigns trying to raise the minimum wage. All in all, my first thoughts about this website were correct. Through a first glimpse of this website, it looked as if there were really no cold hard facts; the author of the article was not even listed. After doing a little digging, I realized that the website is in fact a scam. It was really not hard to find things to contradict this website, but if someone uneducated on sources were to read over this article, it is something they may believe. Overall, this article is merely nothing but a scam; some information could be correct, but there needs to be more facts in order to back the article up....
