NPU3505 - WEEK 2 SCENARIOS
1. MONA - Handover / Prebrief It is now 0900. Mona has had a left sided ICC inserted. You now enter her room to assess and manage her care as the medical officer has completed the insertion. You will need to reassess her now that there has been an intervention. Review Mona’s pre ICC ABG’s. MONA Week 1 PaO2 PaCO2 HCO3 O2 Saturation pH

Normal values 80 – 110 mmhg 35 – 45 mmhg 21 – 25 meq/mL >95% on room air 7.35 – 7.45
2. VINCENT - Handover / Prebrief Mona is now stable and comfortable. You need to check on Vincent as the medical officer has been in to review him and may have left an order. Please reassess him and consider your priorities – let me know if you need an RN for anything....
