Students must ensure they are correctly enrolled in accordance with the Academic Program Rules. A total of 72 units is required to complete the Bachelor of Economics. Students must ensure they check prerequisites and course restrictions via the Course Planner before enrolling in a course.

• Students who wish to transfer to the Bachelor of Economics (Advanced) need to complete additional courses ECON 1005 Introduction to Mathematical Economics I and ECON 1010 Mathematical Economics I along with a Grade Point Average (GPA 5.0 out 7.0) for the semester.

Faculty of the Professions 2021 Study Plan Bachelor of Economics Open Electives and Broadening Electives Open (free choice) elective courses can be chosen from the Faculty of the Professions or any faculty in the University, where courses are not restricted. Broadening elective courses are those which are outside their primary discipline area of study and can be searched using the Course Planner. To satisfy the requirements for Broadening Electives, students must complete courses to the value of 9 units. Students in the Bachelor of Economics must choose courses outside of the subject areas specified in the Broadening Electives list. These include ACCTING, CORPFIN, ECON, LAW, STATS.
