Wow, there Pro Am is really outstanding! Now it’s time for our candidates to share their advocacies for the senior high school community. Starting off with Miss Stem... Miss STEM: As a representative of the STEM strand, I am honored to advocate an environmental friendly project that would take care of our mother Earth. By this project, senior

high students will be aware of the effects of every action they make towards our environment. I will encourage everyone to reduce the use of paper and plastic for the betterment of the nature. This would not only help the students to be more aware of their surroundings but also contribute to our ecosystem because I believe that true beauty is seen through one's stewardship to others. Miss HUMMS: If I would be chosen as the next Senior High School ambassadress, I would go for more recreational activities that would not just strengthen the bond of the students and the teacher but also lessen the stress that they feel. I would go for movements that would empower the youth to speak their minds. Because with me, I truly value the opinion of the whole department. Miss GAS-HA: Whenever we talk about this proverb “health is wealth”, we get the real meaning of wealth. Wealth is not a word which denotes being rich by money however; it is a word denoting to be rich by health. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, take good care of your health. Your wellbeing is the most priceless wealth you can have in your entire existence. Miss ABM: As your next SHS ambassadress of 2018, I will focus on mental health awareness. I will provide educators with a repository of evidence-based programs, and materials that can aid in helping to develop and deliver interventions that can improve youth mental health effectively and efficiently. Mental health should be a feature of all school health promotion initiatives. The whole school approach will also lead to a higher school connectedness, a better school climate and school improvement. Schools can play an important role in the mental health and well-being of their students and staff. Obtaining the skills needed for academic success can contribute to a better life quality in students. Host: Thank you candidates for the advocacies you’ve shared with us. Next up is our question and answer portion. After, we will be announcing the titleholder and the court or the runners-up. Stay tuned because we’ll be back after a short break. -END-...
