BECOMING HUMAN PART 1

2

After watching the film Becoming Human Part 1, the film has offered a fair introduction to early human origin even though the film is marred by the persistent of the references on onward and upwards marches of the human progress. The first episode of the film has concentrated primarily on Australopithecus where the viewers are taken back to the African rift valley and parts of Europe the places where huge evolutionary step between apes and human beings is believed to have taken place. I feel the first episode of the documentary is a bit mischaracterizing because it means that we are apes just that were is a bit modified.

The film claim that transition that occurred from

Australopithecus to the earliest man, Homo involved an astounding transformation true because it demonstrates other changes that occur in another living invertebrate according to their fossil records. The documentary has discussed some of the activities, and here the origin of the pubic lice is introduced by showing what the Homo erectus might have hunted, and this is an explanation of what our ancestors did around the fireplace. The documentary description of how different we are from chimpanzee seem a bit detailed and with adequate facts and evidence to support. About the migration to other continents, the documentary has used fossils records to show how Homo erectus left Africa. Some of the evidence that convinced me about this migration are the use of Dmanisi Homo skeleton and also the hobbits Homo fluorescences in the documentary. The documentary has managed to effectively answer one of human most fascinating question which is where did we come from....
