1. Describe today’s fitness test. Include the basic instructions and the equipment used. The equipment need was a foam surface and a firm surface. For a foam like surface, I used a towel folded in half on carpet.
2. Briefly describe the developmental activities that today’s group had the class complete. The developmental activities were yoga and Tai Chi. Yoga is holding positions and Tai Chi is fluid like movements. a. How does the activity tie into the group’s component of fitness? They (we) are flexibility and balance and tai chi and yoga require a lot of balance and can help build up to flexibility. 3. What was one thing that you learned today? One thing I learned is that I am really bad at balancing on one leg. It took a lot of concentration for me to not make more mistakes than I did. I had to really focus and center myself to stand since my eyes were closed and I could not focus on one thing. 4. Provide constructive feedback to the group. a. What was one thing they executed well? They explained the developmental activity really well as well as the BESS test itself.
b. What is something they can do to improve next time? Making the slides look ‘more alike.’ For example, some had a lot of words while others had a lot of pictures....
