Email me to set up a one on one meeting online Special Facility or Equipment Needs/Safety Rules and Issues: Lecture/laboratory room with facilities for integrated lecture/demonstration/laboratory activities with multimedia available with internet access. Student desk/tables suitable for participation in laboratory activities to include running water/sink, heat sources, electrical outlets, laboratory supplies and equipment, appropriate safety precautions, and computer integrated instruction. Lab Fee: $25.00 *You don’t pay me this (included in your tuition and fees Course Description: A one-semester lecture/laboratory general survey course covering structure and function of the human body designed for students entering health related fields. A systems approach will be used to cover general principles and terminology. Laboratory is integrated with the lecture. Pre-requisite(s): Eligibility for enrollment in ENGL 1010 and MATH 1105 Co-requisite(s): None Student Learning Outcomes: As a result of successful completion of this course the student will be able to: 1.

Apply critical thinking skills to problems associated with anatomy and physiology

Describe the structure and function of cells, tissues and organ systems

3.

Correctly apply the terminology used in anatomy and physiology

4.

Correctly utilize laboratory equipment associated with the course, such as microscopes, anatomical models and dissection tools.

5.

Correctly utilize laboratory methods included in this course.
