The Boeing Corporation

The Boeing Company, founded in 1916, operated three major groups of businesses with a total of six subsidiaries: commercial airplanes; integrated defense systems subsidiaries including aircraft weapon systems, network systems, support systems, and launch and orbital systems; and the Boeing Capital Corporation. On April 26 2004, Boeing announced the launch of the new airplane “the Dreamliner”. After not even one year they count about 63 firms orders and 129” lessblinding” commitments. The Dreamliner compete with the new Airbus A380 and for a moment that’s cause less sales for Boeing Setting the Standard for Commercial Aviation

The 787 can do long range travel with using 20% less fuel than others airplanes, it can provide more cargo revenue capacity and improve the quality of the flights for the customers. Forecasting predicted that a plane like this with its number of seats and quality flights will satisfy the demand about 80%. They also predicted that China and India will lead the demand for this aircraft. Designing and Building the 787

The 787 is made by 30% from Boeing and 70% from others suppliers Boeing use outsourcing to made this aircraft it’s better because it less expensive but It can also lead to new competitors and that’s causes problems because of the

lack of communication, quality control. But that’s cut their spent. the problems in Boeing is the integration of the technology that was outsourced from different vendors Challenges Facing Boeing After the 9/11 attacks the market dropped and touch Boeing a lot, but after a rise of the market Boeing has to be careful with the new competitors he maybe created by outsourcing like China which want to create a civil aerospace industry. Boeing has to deal with Airbus and has to improve their aircrafts to win the battle of the sky and we can see that’s there is Two models in this battle an European one which is Airbus and the American one which is Boeing those will continue to invest and will always want to make a better aircrafts but be careful, that could be another actor in this battle (like China or Japan)...
