I think this book is about how classroom behavior and behavior are linked. This seems logical based on the words in the red bar.
Little overwhelmed because it is clear there is a lot of information that goes into behavior management.
Dealing with the unexpected seems the most interesting. I feel that unexpected issues are by far the most difficult cases for even experienced teachers to deal with.
This text reminded me of the Academic Language class because it seems both parts of teaching require you to gain multiple skills.
The dealing with the unexpected chapter reminded me of something that is always preached at us when training for officiating.
The dealing with the unexpected also reminded me of the world right now because of all the unknown. This book made me think of all the people on social media who are so quick to judge teachers without remembering how difficult there job is.
Will this text give us practical skills we can apply in real life?...
