Building Your Brand A personal brand is ‘how you show up in the world’. What are you best known for? How do others perceive you? It is important to strategically create your brand rather than have others decide it for you. This activity will help you begin to design your personal brand to help you articulate what you need others to know about you. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Begin by listing your Top 5 CliftonStrengths in column one. In column two, choose an adjective/keyword from your strengths report that accurately describes you or that you want to be known for. In column three, brainstorm 2-3 other words/phrases that communicate the same meaning (TIP: try using a thesaurus or look up synonyms for assistance. In column 4, write down an example of a time when you have demonstrated the keywords you have written down. In the last column, develop a quick phrase that can be communicated in fewer than 5 seconds that you could use in introducing yourself as part of your elevator pitch.
