1. List 2 strengths of the Good Food Box. 

Strengths of business model The Good Food Box include the fact that they market and promote organic and sustainable products.

The Good Food Box being a family owned and operated business tends to strengthen the integrity of a company in the eyes of consumers.

2. List 2 weaknesses of the Good Food Box. 

Being a family owned and operated company can also be seen as a disadvantage in the situation that demand rises in the market for their products, it can be difficult not having enough resources to provide an efficient service to customers.

The Good Food Box has another weakness: price. Many consumers may wish to pay extra money for organic and sustainable foods, but others may choose to buy their food from somewhere else. In fact, the average consumer can choose to keep some money in his pockets and just go to the local grocery store themselves with the cost of the delivery charge added to the final price and the warehouse to pick up orders being far from the preferred business market.

3. List 2 opportunities facing the Good Food Box. 

Appropriate social media marketing relating with the constantly updating trends especially on social media can be seen as a strong advantage The Good Food Box should be willing to take. It takes only one video to go “viral” as they say and opportunities never imagined before are able to become a reality for a local company.

The Good Food Box's potential partnership with one or more of its varied foods competitors is indeed a clear opportunity to increase business and hence increase their profits. If their online ordering and distribution model was carried out in a way which

could benefit the Good Food Box and the supply chain, while sustaining the same values for both companies, there would possibly be a rise in the popularity of its brand. 4. List 2 threats facing the Good Food Box. 

The cost of further growth is a major threat to The Good Food Box. When the company grows, it will also have to increase supply and labour costs. The success of the industry can be the ultimate downfall of the business, as the organisation fails now only if it wants to care for certain consumers in certain industries. This could seem surprising, but the expenses of this can greatly outweigh those of the business which is willing to pay for greater facilities if the company continues to sell both local and organic products and to proceed with the same method of supply.

One of the key risks of the Good Food Box business is to start taking over food distribution by various food chains and by wholesale markets. Having 58 supermarkets and then just two organic food shops, the choice is easy but not for The Good Food Box.

5. List and explain 3 possible alternatives for the company that would be reasonable given the business environment at the time. 

The Good Food Box should collaborate to sell the goods in a sustainable part of the business with one of its different competitors. Their production could be used to promote the Good Food Box and the different food chains.

The launching of a The Good Food Box store could benefit sales. It may be pricey and very slow at the start, but it would offer people who care where their food comes from a local shop where they recognize that all their food is fresh and sustainable.

In lieu of their products being online the Good Food Box could put up a spot in local farmers ' markets. Home delivery might still be an alternative, but when you can have the food presented in front of you, it appeals to the majority of active consumers.

6. From the alternatives listed in question 5, analyze each alternative to determine which would be the best one to implement. Make sure you are using one quantitative, and one qualitative criteria to analyze each alternative. I believe the best option for The Good Food Box to start with would be to reach a deal with local farmers’ markets to have a vendor spot there. By doing this it will give consumers to get to know the products first hand and in person, which can’t be replaced by online and home delivery. While reaching a partnership with grocery stores can be a viable option, it is the farmers markets where customers go to for their local and organic produce. While opening up a location for The Good Food Box is a good option, at the moment, the business neither has the resources or steady customer flow to be profitable. This is way by adding a vendor to local farmers’ markets is the better option because by doing so, more people who aim to buy local and organic produce will gain knowledge about The Good Food Box and further refer it to friends and family....
