Case Study British Coffee Association...

Description

Case Study: British Coffee Association The infographic provided many different types of data, this suggested that it may have not researched primarily. This is evident as it provided references on each data point provided. This is secondary information in which they outlined the parts which directly came from the references of whom were made up of doctors, scientist and health organisations which was formed into short sentences presenting the most valued data alongside sentence opening phrases such as ‘this research shows’. It was a mixture of reliable references with contributions by the british coffee association who created this whole infographic report.

When it comes to the presentation of the data collected it all seemed clamped together and some might no know where to look first and so a better way of presenting this information is a table with subheadings for each point/fact making it easier to see and making it look more tidy however this way of presenting has its benefits such as making it more appealing because of the various colours and images used and this may not be possible with a table. They could have used charts and such to have more appeal to people of interest or people who may view it, this

will make the data more relevant to the public. I think the research inserted into the infographic was reliable because all of the references had degrees relating to the topic and made entire studies around it, health organisations such as BHF and BDA were included whom which they use scientist to conduct research about certain topics and in this case, it was about coffee. As previously stated, sources of information came solely from people with PHDs and Verified research surrounding the topic as well as organisations which help fund and conduct such research. They are all authentic however that does not mean the research is 100% unbiased as some organisations and doctors/researchers have relations to coffee which may affect how real the data is. The purpose of this information is to inform the public with their concerns about coffee, to inform people on what’s good and bad, persuade people to not leave coffee and most importantly, to make sure the coffee industry is thriving by making sure there is no public concerns around it and to make sure that the appeal is enough to make it sustainable for them whether its now or the future....
