Jade Colon, Emily Groscup, Mengxi Shen, Dyamond Brooks Case Study Report Sustainable Development March 30, 2018 Why did you choose this case study? We decided to chose this company to look at because they are a little different than the other companies we are researching. Their workers ride around on bikes with trash cans on the back of them and collect people's food scraps to make compost out of. They service nearly 20 businesses, and 90 homes. The compost then goes back to its members or it is sold, so anyone can buy it. This company is also interesting because they help other businesses find out ways in which they can recycle other organics.

So far all of these businesses compost all of their compose material together. However, we would like to take the step towards separating out coffee grounds from normal compost and having them composted separate. This way these spent coffee grounds can be used as their own nutrients generating soil.

*** couldn’t find anything about a soil scientist - not sure if they even have one. From what we have done research on, it seems that they just have employees to pick up and sort compost, then they just let the process of composting begin...
