Chapter 14 Assignment 1. What measures might one take to plan for ongoing organizational behavior skills learning beyond the academic setting? As Organizational behavior is a set of many different skills, to practice and master them, I believe that a well-thought-out plan would be beneficial. The plan would need to have clear goals and include tasks and practices that one could try to perform on a daily or weekly basis to further develop and sharpen their skills. Some examples of the possible tasks are: -

Join organizations to practice on-hand skills and gain experiences

2. Identify one major professional organization that might facilitate lifelong learning of organizational behavior skills. -

Apple would be a good example as a professional organization that facilitates lifelong learning of organizational behavior skills. My friend works at Apple as an Event and Programs planner and the things I have seen and heard from her always amazed me of how Apple could care so much for their employees. With programs like training courses, art classes, leadership practices, events that celebrate diversity, etc, employees' benefits and development always receive great attention from Apple.

I believe that to maintain a professional network, one would have to build and update their profile with things they consider would best portrait their professional working attitude and belief. Also with already established connections, one could easily share their thoughts and views regarding what others in the network are interested in. Communicating and sharing is the key to networking....
