China Association for Promoting Democracy The China Association for Promoting Democracy (Chinese: 中 国 民 主 促 进 会 ; pinyin: Zhōngguó Mínzhǔ Cùjìnhuì) is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that follow the direction of the Chinese Communist Party and is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference [4] It was formed on 30 December 1945, and mainly represents high-level intellectuals engaged in education and cultural publishing media.[5] It holds seats in the National People's Congress of China
