It likewise aimed to identify the significant kinds of social media were the students are prone that may be conclude to be the reason of influencing negative effects and how it interrupt to their study habits, eating and sleeping quality. This study utilized the “Descriptive Survey” in describing how social media interrupt to their eating, sleeping and study habits. (85) Students were utilized to be the respondents of this study from different tracks and strands, namely academic track with two strands (STEM) Science Technology Engineering Mathematics and (HUMSS) Humanities and Social Science, the second track is (TVL) technology and livelihood education that is subdived into three strands namely (ICT) Information and Communication Technology, (I.A) Industrial Arts and (H.E) Home economics. There are many various changes happened in this world, that has something to do in human being especially in youth generation. We can call progress and development but behind there is humungous disadvantages. Today’s world is a global village everyone is connected to one another in this vast network generated by the internet. As said by Marshall Mcluhan, a philosopher of communication theory “The new electronic Independence re-creates the worlds in the image of global village”. This electronic independence is inherently dependent upon the internet. It illuminates the lives of the thousands of people by spreading knowledge internationally, thereby making us global citizen. Personal internet access has grown exponentially over the last decade, more recently the most prominent social revolution is the “Boom of Social Media”. Social media generally refers to a kind of technology and website that provides a platform for accessing information, sharing ideas. However different people will react to that exposure very differently. Just as women and men will be able to ignore the unrealistic standard of beauty and looks portrayed in traditional social media. And youth are the prone user of this platform. To note there are many variety of social media, and the most popular platform used by the students is “Facebook”. This Social Media affects the relationship of the students to eating in exact time, adequate sleep and also with their study habits. Yes and no, to put in perspective Social Media causes eating disorder that appears in many students having some genuinely negative effects. We cannot deny that students are very critical thinking, they were attracted from what the trend is, and the reason why they cannot maintain their good health because of the unique world of social media, causing eating disorder. They don’t eat from exact time as well skipping their meals. Hence, this was the reason of the researchers to conduct this concept paper.

According to the Huffington post, as far back as 2012, hospital admission were spiking for eating disorder like anorexia. The victims were largely young girls at age of 15 and under , which has a disturbing trend since eating disorder are the mental disorder that have the highest mortality rate among sufferance. When researchers try to find a cause, Social Media was put under the microscope. What the research found was that social media users experience an increased awareness of their bodies and weight, which can lead to being extremely selfconscious regarding how that body is treated or presented. Social media at any point was significantly related also to decreased sleep quality, however when it comes to sleep quality “Those who log at night appear to be particularly affected” study author Heather Cleland woods of the university of geosgow in Scotland said in a statement. The teenage years can be a time of increased vulnerability to poor sleeping that may contribute to the risk of this condition. Previous researches also studied and have shown the overuse of electronic media is related to sleep disorder. Moreover, some research studies shows that there is an association between Facebook dependence and poor quality of sleep. According to Wang, Chen and Liang, students use social media tools for many purposes such as access to information, group discussion, resource sharing and entertainment. On the contrary, Gross and Acquisti argue that users may be putting themselves at risk both offline (e.g., stalking) and online (e.g., identify theft). In this study, social networking and social media are used interchangeably. Social networking has only one goal. It is to encourage new ways to communicate and share information. Observation showed, however, that many students have been blaming various social networking for it affects adversely their study habits and the

steady decrease in their grade point averages. This emergent phenomenon has aroused the researcher to look into social networking and why it affects the study habits of students. Social media affects the output of the students which is the study habits and can be seen through their academic performance, which might be a negative effect. Students today have begun to rely on the accessibility of information that is available on the social media platforms specifically as well as the web in general in order to get answer. This means that there is a reduced focused on learning as well as on returning information. Sometimes students prefer to visit this site rather than to attend their class and because of being addiction. They cannot totally give their attention to focus in their study, sometimes they don’t give any care nor interest to do their assigned homework instead they spend their time to enjoy and access the world of social media. Social networking evidently has a lot of positive effects, but there are also some negative impacts. And its relevant information is the relationship of social media to eating, sleeping and study habits of the students. This is not just a little issue, it is a big deal problem that should give and take action in order to guide those students and lessen the negative effects in their daily lives. Therefor researcher was prompted to conduct this topic. The researcher aimed to identify the relationship of social media and how interrupt the eating, sleeping quality and their study habits or academic performance of the students in Linao National High School Senior High, as well by addressing the following question: 1. Is social media affects the eating time, sleeping quality and study habits of the students in learning process?

2. Which kind of social media that affects their eating, sleeping and study habits of the students? 3. What does student usually focus more in social media? Methodology The study aim to ascertain the relationship of social media to eating, sleeping quality and study habits or academic performance of the students. Researchers conduct this study in the city of Tuguegarao, the capital province of Cagayan. Particularly in the public school of Linao National High School Senior High students. Barangay of Linao Norte for S.Y 2017. The respondents of this study will be the senior students in Linao National High school. (108) students will be given questions to answer who were prone of using social media. Stratified sampling technique is employed how researchers get the total population of the respondents. Researchers prepare different steps to follow for the guide of this topic. This study will use the “Descriptive Survey”. According to Gay the descriptive method of research involves collecting data to answer questions concerning the current status of the subject under study. Which this method is the most important instrument use for conducting this study. Questionnaire checklist will be the instrument use for this study for gathering information, this questionnaire is classified into two part first is the profile of the students, which pertains to the age, name, gender and course. The second one is various questions that are related to the topic of this study. To gather data from the respondents, researchers will prepare first for questionnaire checklist after, is asking permission to the teacher, and then questionnaires will be given to the students, as well researcher will start to gather information and data will be collected.

The data will be gathered and analyze with the use of statistical tool. Called frequency count and weighted mean. Where x refers to the weighted mean; ∑x refers to the frequencies or the total of the respondents answers; and N also refers to the total population of the respondents. To determine the relationship of social media to eating, sleeping and study habits, this scale and its descriptions will use 3- 2.34 to 3.00 this will describe as Never; 2 1.67 to 2.33 describe as Sometimes; 1- 1.00 to 1.66 describe as Always. And the second one is the percentage with the use of statistical tool P is Percentage; F is the frequency and N is the total respondents.
