Contractions Activity How to play the game? Students will be divided into two different teams. The teacher will then take out a notecard with some pre-contraction words on them. The students will then run to get the correct contraction for the word. Teacher instructions: 1. Divide students into two teams 2. Students line up behind each other 3. Read notecard to student 4. Have student run to get the correct contraction 5. Repeat till all notecards are gone. 

Prefix, Suffix, & Base words Activity How to: Students will get a carrot with a base word on it. Students will then work together in groups of 3 to add the correct prefix or suffix to the base word.   Teacher instruction: Walk around groups and see if anyone needs help....
