TORONTO, January 12, 2017 - The Canadian Stuffed Animals Association (CSA) announces today that registration has opened for the Make A Bear for Hope 2019 campaign. This popular fundraiser is open to Canadians who have a talent for making stuffed animals. Sales of these toys are sold at coordinated garage sales throughout the summer and 1 top fundraiser in each province will will win an all-expenses paid trip for two to Bora Bora for a week. All funds raised are distributed to patients at local children’s hospitals. “As we enter year fifteen of our fundraising event, we are humbled by the love and support we have received in communities from coast to coast”, says President and CEO Jennifer Bunny. “Participation is a win-win for everyone involved. while you check off another item on your bucket list, money raised helps childrens’ hospitals in our communities. We thank all the stuffed animal makers who sew and stuff to make kid’s smile. The Make-A-Bear for Hope event has raised over $15,000 for children’s hospitals and the goal for this year is $2000. Many fundraisers have been involved for years and hold events to register new stuffed animal makers. Finished products are sold at community center parking lots from May until August 2019. The CSAA is asking Canadians to donate the items below to help with the cause.        

About Canadian Stuffed Animals Association (CSAA) Canadian Stuffed Animals Association was established in 2001 by a group of parents who marvelled at the joy stuff animals bring to their children. Building on the premise that these toys always make a child happy, the CSAA has continued the tradition of offering complimentary lessons on how to make stuffed animals to give to children in local hospitals. The largest fundraising campaign since 2004 has been the Make-A-Bear for Hope. The campaign has raised over $15,000 and makes up more than half of total funds raised to bring happiness to Canadian children.
