CN VI (abducent nerve palsy) - most commonly caused by a raised ICP secondary to vascular disease - medial manifest squint and diplopia CN IV (trochlear nerve palsy) - most commonly caused by congenital defects and trauma - UP AND IN, diplopia looking downwards, compensatory head tilt because superior oblique usually intorts eye CN III (oculomotor nerve palsy) - most commonly caused by aneurysms - DOWN AND OUT as lateral rectus and superior oblique are only working muscles, ptosis as LPS may not work, dilated pupil as sphincter pupillae is paralysed Essential investigations: • MRI head • Blood pressure
