Description

Creative Evangelism -This illustration will explain the gospel, which is central to the Christian faith. (Pause) -Adam and Eve chilled freely with God in paradise (Garden of Eden) (Pause) -But then, Genesis 3:22-24- “And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.” (Water balloons) -Man sinned, so now we don’t live in communion with God. In fact, the Bible says that all are sinners (Romans 3:23). -The wages of sin is death (Roman 6:23) -People try different things to get to Heaven: Good works, knowledge, wanting it (Pause) -These all result in failure, and we fall short of perfection, so we need a Savior. -John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -Jesus took on the sins of the world, fulfilling the debt that we couldn’t pay, bridging the gap. (Pause) -Jesus bridged the gap and there’s now a way to Heaven. All we have to do is. . . -Repent-Acts 17:30-“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” -Believe-John3:36-“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.” -Confess- 1 John 1:9-“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” -Receive-John 1:12-“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (Jump and be caught by Christ) -This may be hard to understand, and we don’t have all the answers. But faith in Jesus isn’t just blind, but educated faith, because He’s never failed before. -So, take the leap of faith, and trust that He’s got your back. Through faith, and by His grace we’re saved. This is the gospel.

Acting: -Walking with God in the garden -Act out the fall -Act out good works -Law is fulfilled (Draw cross) -Take leap of faith Backup: -This leap of faith means that you are now saved through Jesus Christ. This truly is the greatest gift of all. This is not to say though, that being a Christian is easy. -The Bible speaks of a spiritual war going on, between God and Satan. God has already won, but the evil one will do anything he can to keep people from God. Know that eve when life gets hard, you can always trust God. -Spend time with God and get to know him. Start this by doing devotions, and learning about who the One is that you’re trusting. -Lean on other believers. Life is still hard, and we need help, and God helps us through people. -James 2:10- “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” -Matthew 5:17-18-“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”...
