CTW 5: Mini Argument Using Flow Due: Thursday, September 21 @ the beginning of class ! Use$the$Freighting$technique$(Adios$15/22)$to$create$one$mini$argument$on$“A&P.”$The$ minimum$requirements$are$listed$below:$$ $ • The mini argument should be one long sentence, a minimum of typed 6 lines long. • Include both details and their logical inferences. • Use thoughtful verbs to logically connect detail/s to inference/s. Underline the main verb/verbs used to attach the inference/s. • Include partial quotes; partial quotes should be surrounded by quotation marks but they do not require parenthetical citation. • The argument is limited to one compound (a comma and coordinating conjunction or a semi-colon); however, you don’t have to compound. • Use critical and persuasive word choice that helps connect details to the inference. • The mini argument is typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins. To Begin: To begin building the argument, use the foundation skill to snap together a detail to its logical inference with an apt, well-chosen verb (Adios “Vitalizing” 228-30): The girl describing the hills as looking “ like white elephants” reveals her creativity.
