BRAINterns Summer Seminar Series Curriculum Mondays 9am-10am: Neurosurgery (Subspecialty intros/lectures) 

Tune in each week to learn the intricacies of specializing in neurosurgery. Interact with experienced neurosurgeons who will present introductions to, and the future of neurosurgical subspecialties, including: neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, spine surgery, functional and epilepsy surgery and pediatrics.

10am-11am: Neurology lectures 

Come listen to neurologists from Lenox Hill present a comprehensive neurology curriculum with topics ranging from anatomy, physiology, pathology and novel treatments for neurologic diseases.

11am-12pm: Medical School Prep 

For those premed college students interested in applying to medical school, this is the perfect webinar for you! The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell administration has put together a valuable webinar series for students interested in a career in medicine. These lectures will offer students practical guidance for choosing the right career in medicine, applying to and surviving medical school, and tips to ace your interviews.

This weekly interactive webinar series offers an introductory, but comprehensive look into the field of cardiology. Students will learn the fundamentals of anatomy, physiology, pathology and treatment directly from experts performing cutting edge treatments for heart disease.

4pm-5pm: Tumor Talk with Randy D’Amico and John A. Boockvar 

Tune in each week to hear Dr. D’Amico and Dr. Boockvar discuss exciting breakthroughs in the treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors with a rotating panel of national leaders within the field.

Wednesdays 9am-10am: ACP corner 

Hosted by advanced care providers (ACPs), this webinar explores the vital role ACP’s have within the healthcare system.

10am-11am: Virtual Spine 

This weekly interactive webinar will provide students with the opportunity to look first hand at neurosurgery for the treatment of spine disease. Panelists will present images, operative videos, and outcomes from complex neurosurgical cases performed by surgeons at Lenox Hill Hospital.

11am-12pm: Subspecialty Lecture 

For those healthcare-oriented students who gravitate towards the administrative side of healthcare, this is the ideal webinar for you! Each week, a variety of Northwell and invited administrators will present valuable insight into the practical aspects of being an administrator for a large hospital system.

10am-11am: Virtual Cerebrovascular 
