PowerPoint Critique Design and Format: 

The slide backgrounds have a light-hearted, non-professional feel to them which makes them distracting to the eye. Utilizing a company header and colors along with basic graphics will give it a cleaner and more professional feel.

Font style and color choice make it hard to focus on the content because the eyes spend more time focusing on the look rather than the content of the presentation. It is best to use professional, easy to read fonts like Arial, Verdana, Calibri, or Times New Roman for professional presentations to reduce distractions when presenting.

Content: 

The order of the slides makes the information hard to understand and follow. The fifth slide titled “What is the Cloud?” should start the presentation. This slide, in combination of slide three, “Cloud benefits”, gives the viewer an understanding of what the cloud is as well as the benefits of using such an environment. The next slide in the progression should be slide six, “What is the downside of moving to the Cloud?” as this slide presents some of the drawbacks to using a cloud environment. Finishing the presentation with the remaining slide “Why are we moving to the cloud?”, “What does this mean to us?”, and “What is next” will help give understanding as to why the company is moving to the cloud and the impact it may have to the employees.

All information regarding finances and staff should be removed. This is sensitive information that is meant for management and mentioning the reduction of staff could cause panic among employees and create conflict between management and staff....
