Critique 1 Redbubble is a global online marketplace for artists to sell art prints, stickers, canvases, and now in the age of Covid, face masks. Recently my roommate and I purchased stickers for our dorm, and they never arrived. A few days after the scheduled arriving date I contacted customer service, they advised me to wait a few more days until we considered them lost, since the shipping and mail industry has been affected by Covid. After a few more days I contacted Redbubble’s customer service again, they apologized for the inconvenience and sent me a replacement, free of charge. I was pleasantly surprised with the interaction, it was so smooth and painless, if only all customer service was that way. I found Redbubble’s code of conduct and found this sentence to stand out: “Redbubble champions honesty and integrity in all its dealings including with its employees, contractors, shareholders, creatives, consumers and the broader community.” The principal obligations for employees under this code is to act in Redbubble’s best interests and to conduct themselves in all Redbubble dealings with the highest ethical and moral standards. Basically outlined, treat customers how you would want to be treated. Based on my own customer service experience with Redbubble I would say that they uphold this value and mission. I even emailed back and forth with three different employees, the fact that I had a good experience with all of them, thus a good experience overall, shows me that not only does the company abide by their mission but so do the employees. I also found in the code of conduct that Redbubble has adopted five core values: Creativity, Courage, Commitment, Accountability and Compassion. Based on my experience I can see how they upheld these core values. They held themselves accountable for my missing order and replaced it free of charge. They also had compassion for me,the customer, they apologized, asked if I needed anything else, and were very kind and courteous throughout the whole process. I will say this was not my first time shopping with them but a bad customer service experience could have changed that. It goes to show how important good customer service and people skills are, but also the fact that I was shocked at how easy the whole process was means that maybe more companies and places need to take the Redbubble approach to customer service. I recommend that anyone shop at Redbubble for all their creativity needs, despite my products getting lost, the way Redbubble handled the situation impacted my experience greatly and it showed me that Redubble not only has great respect for their customers but also the people they work with and the artists they work with. They clearly hold themselves and the name of the brand to a high standard, ethically and morally. Not only is the quality amazing, but the connection between the Redbubble team, the sellers, and the buyers is a strong one who all share the same interests and standards....
