PREPARATION A. Prayer B. Greetings C. Checking of Attendance ACTIVITY Class, I have prepared an activity which is called “Describe Me”. I will group you into 5 and you will be tasked to write or list down the physical characteristics of each pictures of the nationalities in front. You will do this in 3 minutes. None Ma’am! Is there any question before we start the activity? So, let’s start!

ANALYSIS Among the pictures of the different nationalities I have presented, which physical characteristics describes you the most? How do you feel about this? Okay, can you guess now what would be the connection of it to our topic today?

It’s all about Citizenship.

That’s right! Our topic is all about Citizenship. The concept of citizenships to be specific. Lesson Proper/Discussion Based on the answers you’ve listed in the first activity, how did a person acquire physical attributes?

They acquired from their parents.

Yes. Many physical attributes can be inherited from your parents. Do you know what your citizenship is?

own understanding)

Now, who can define Citizenship?

Citizenship is a term denoting membership of a citizen in a political society.

Excellent! Like Filipinos, Americans, Africans, Japanese etc. We can say that we have our own membership in society. Do you know the ways we acquire our citizenship, class?

We acquire it when we were born!

Very good! What else?

By blood relations!

That’s right! We have two (2) ways to acquire our citizenship. First, the Voluntary method by which naturalization, cessation, conquest and treaty. The second one, is Involun tary method by bi rth, birthplace and blood relations. What is our basis in acquiring citizenship?

It is in our law.

Excellent! It is found in 1987 Philippine Constitution, article IV. (PowerPoint Presentation)

A. Group Activity “Differentiated Activity” The class will be divided into four (4) groups. Each group will be given a task regarding the duties and obligations as students that may contribute in building a better community. Discuss with your group mates the task given to you for eight minutes. After collaborating and brainstorming regarding your activity, you will present it to the class.
