Description

How can a shared service delivery model benefit the employees and management of an organization? Shared delivery service benefits employees and management by consolidating HR tasks and software thus increasing efficiency and cost savings, it also benefits in optimizing HR operational efficiency, continuity, internal resources can focus in strategic tasks, the development and retention of the talent pool, increases employee experience, and saves money. (HR Exchange Network Editorial team,2019) For example HR tasks and software are consolidated, the HR approach is typically having a higher efficiency overall, and strategies become more of a focus of HR. (Stevenson,2019) What are some challenges of a shared service delivery model to the employees and management of an organization? With the shared service delivery model can be beneficial yet challenges can arise as well. Some cautions to look for are: one size doesn’t fit all, systems, technology, tools & management capability must support centralization, shift administration burden and other duties to employees and managers, the primary purpose is maximum savings. (McCarthy,2018) Having a shared services approach is not good for everyone yet its not bad either. Real thought should go into considering what the company leadership wants to accomplish before considering applying this approach. Only a company that offers services centralized by HR with alike subsidiaries then an HR shared services approach might work, but a company that deals with different niche or specialized workforces, the HR shared services approach may not work. (Stevenson,2019) How do changes in technology affect service delivery, effectiveness, and efficiency?

Due to technology service delivery is becoming more automated rather than face to face. Technology has influenced the way service providers interact with customers. Before the evolution of technology your customer service experience was dealt with by a person. Because of the internet services have become boundless. For example, because of the internet we can order products from anywhere in the world instead of just locally. Advances in technology has seemed to make the personal human interaction less and less.
