In what ways was it a strength or weakness? Share examples of artifacts you have noticed to support your observation about that organization’s culture.

I worked in a big and well-known Med-Tech company, I don't want to mention names, however, what I noticed as a weakness in its culture was the bureaucracy in the form of controversy. The company had a matrix structure, but in reality, had multi-layer management and a tall structure, there were so many managers, even the company invented new roles to fit the old managers into new structuring! Also, the company promoted certain cultural aspects like inclusion and diversity, but in reality, the new-hire employees had connections inside -I was one of them- that is why they got hired. people got promoted based on their relationships with their managers rather than their achievements and actual results. So, to sum up, the artifact was a professional bureaucratic culture. Another example, the company promoted open space offices, but in reality, all big managers had their own private office space. Only normal employees and mid-level managers had to have an open-space office layout. I don't know how to put it in English, but they had a double-face policy, the prompted concepts and things that were not actual. On papers and social media platforms were things and on the inside and in practice was something else. Hypocrisy in a certain kind of form....
