I think that developed Western countries have several responsibilities toward developing countries to help them get their economies established. I will write about 3: education, healthcare, and then financial support. I believe that all humans should help one another, whether we are from the same family, country, or complete strangers. We have God given rights, and along with those rights, I believe come responsibilities to each other. I think that countries that are already successful should assist developing countries with establishing solid education platforms. By providing qualified teachers and funding adequate buildings to house the schools, we are setting them up to be successful in the future. While providing the teachers initially, we should also be providing for the further education of those locals who want to become teachers. Foreign provisions are not meant to be forever, but a stepping stone to reaching independence. In healthcare, developing countries are in dire need for all types of healthcare. From diseases that are caused from polluted water, to not having enough fresh fruit and vegetables, doctors and nurses are very important. The developed countries should be willing to provide services and supplies as needed, as well as the means for the locals to get the education they need to become doctors and nurses. In offering financial aid, this can be done in many different ways, but perhaps most important to the future success of the developing country is to offer free trade agreements and assist them in getting industries and factories set up in the country. No country just suddenly appears and is ready to go. Developing nations need everything and if the already developed nations do not help, how are they to grow and prosper to become independent countries? While I do not think that the aide should be permanent or something that is expected forever, I do think it is vitally important in the beginning and to follow through until the new country reaches independence and a form of prosperity. 330 words...
