EUTHANASIA SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED IN MEDICAL FIELD Thank you Mr. Moderator for the time. Assalamua'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen. In this gold opportunity, I would like to tell you about a sensitive topic. Before that, let me introduce my self, my name is Revika from The Criminal Law Observer Institute. Now, I'm going to talk about Euthanasia should not be applied in medical feld. Ladies and Gentlemen I am agree if Euthanasia should not be applied in medical feld. First, I will tell you about the defnition of Euthanasia. Euthanasia, also called mercy killing, is an act or practice of painlessly putting to death, persons sufering from painful and incurable disease or incapacitating physical disorder. On the basis of the nature of act being done, Euthanasia is classifed in 2 types: Active or Positive Euthanasia and Passive or Negative Euthanasia. Thus, the actions of doctors who are already of the hands of emergency patients by letting her or him go home or stay in the hospital without further medical action can be categorized as passive euthanasia. These risks come in two parts: in the medical researches and in the accepted medical ethics. As we know, modern technology has given many innovations in medical research. These innovations were focused to cure serious illnesses. Legalization of euthanasia will directly change this focus from curing the illness into killing the individual because of the illness. In other words, legalizing euthanasia will undermine medical researches. As mentioned before, the second risk is towards the medical ethics. The Hippocratic Oath states 'I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest such counsel….' The International Code of Medical Ethics adopted by third World Medical Assembly, London, England, October 1949. If the government legalizes euthanasia, physicians will be permitted to do such murder, an act that is extremely against the Medical Ethics. This makes the physicians together with the government violate the history of accepted medical ethics....
