The chosen story is Popular Mechanics, By Raymond Carver. The story is talked about two couples facing a bad time. The woman was crying and asking the man to leave. The man was putting his clothes into the suitcase. And between them, there was a little child. And both of them want to take the child with him while the child was terrified and crying. ‘’You’re not touching this baby, she said. The baby had begun to cry and she uncovered the blanket from around his head.’’(Carver, 1981, para. 15). I like the story. It shows us how we can act when we get angry and upset. We can forget all the good things that happened between us. The darkness outside the house and inside the house has crept into their souls. He didn't respond. He fastened his bag, put his coat on, scanned around the bedroom, and then switched the light off. He moved out to the living room then. (Carver, 1981). Reference: Carver, R. (1981).
