There are many reasons why dispositions are important in teaching. Professional Disposition of Learners is very important in order to become a successful and effective teacher. As a Hispanic student I was always treated with respect and never treated otherwise. An educator should be patient and caring in order to develop positive relationships with students. As teachers we become role models to students therefore, we must learn to always show professionalism and commitment. In fact, not only are professional dispositions important to become an effective teacher but it also determines a child’s future. An educator should be able to communicate, listen and respect all students. These are only a few of the dispositions necessary to be a successful teacher. It is hard for a teacher to be successful without all the necessary dispositions. In order to cultivate professional dispositions a teacher must have a clear understanding of dispositions and how they are learned (Martin & Mulvihill, 2017). All the teachers I have had over the years have all been respectful and prepared to take on anything in our classroom. They always knew how to deal with any issues properly without making unethical decisions.

2 First, The Model Code of Ethics plays a big role in a teacher's life. This code is important because it ensures the safety of teachers and students. The Model Code of Ethics exists for society to know what can and should be expected from professional educators (Sawchuk, 2014). All teachers should understand the importance of The Code of Ethics because their jobs depend on it. It will be challenging to make decisions as an educator because any mistake made can affect you immensely. However, if we follow The Code of Ethics it’ll help us prevent any problem.

Secondly, the attributes I believe I need to develop is a flexible personality. An important predictor of success is the attitude of professional educators (Olson & Chalmers, 1997). As an educator I would need to have a flexible personality to be able to cope with any dilemma in the classroom. The decisions I make in the classroom will reflect the kind of teacher I will be. To sum up, there are many reasons why dispositions are important in the life of a professional educator. Dispositions are necessary to be an effective teacher and always develop strong positive relationships with students. Professional educators should be fair and respect the background of every student. Students will be more comfortable if their teachers show a loving and caring attitude. For students to have effective teachers we must work hard to learn everything we can about our field.
