Assignments TwoassignmentswillbepostedonMyLearningSpaceatleasttwoweeksbeforethedue date.Theassignments’exercisesaredesignedtopreparestudentsforbeingmacroeconomists aswellasforexamquestions.Studentswillworkonassignmentsindividually.Assignmentswill bedueby6p.m.ontheduedateonDropboxinMyLearningSpace.Lateassignmentswillnot beaccepted.Therewillbenoexceptionstothisrule.Eachassignmentwillbeworth10percent ofthefinalgrade.However,ifbothassignmentsaresubmitted,Iwillautomaticallytakethe highestassignmentgradeforthefull20percent. Exams TherearetwoonlinemidtermexamstobeheldinMyLearningSpaceoutsideofclass time.Eachexamwillbeworth15%ofthefinalgrade.Themidtermexamswillinclude everythingcovereduptothatpointintheassignments.Allstudentsarerequiredtowriteboth midtermexams.Ifyoudomissamidtermexam,therewillnotbeamake‐upmidtermexam. However,ifappropriateandtimelydocumentationisprovidedtheweightwillbetransferredto thefinalexam. ThefinalonlineexamwillbeheldinMyLearningSpaceatadatetobesetbytheUniversity.The finalexamwillincludeallthematerialcoveredinthecourse.Ifyouwrotebothonlinemidterm examsandendupwithahighergradeonthefinalexamthanoneofmidtermexams,the weightofthemidtermwiththelowestgradewillautomaticallybetransferredtothefinal exam.Studentsarerequiredtobeavailableforexaminationsduringtheexaminationperiod. Participation Theparticipationcomponentofthegradewillinvolvetwoonlinesurveys(1.5grade pointseach)tobepostedonMyLearningSpaceaswellaspresenceataminimumoftwo synchronousonlinetutorials(1.5gradepointseach).Thesurveysmustbefullysubmittedto countandtherewillbenodeadlineextensions.Theparticipationrequirementfortutorialscan bewavedatthediscretionoftheprofessorifpriornoticeisgiven.Thetutorialsarerequired 2
contentandwillberecordedandposted.Thetutorialswillconsistofpracticequestionsforthe exams,reviewtheassignmentsandmidterms,generaladvice,andanswerstudentquestions. Tutorialsjointlyserveasofficehoursandquestionsshouldbeaskedatthesesessions.
