The results I got from the eco footprint quiz were quite embarrassing. The quiz comes to show my eco footprint results is 8.3 global hectares. The quiz comes to show that my current consumption requires an area of productive land equivalent to 10.2 Canadian football fields. This comes to show that it is a bad aspect on my ecological footprint. Perhaps changing my ways would be better in order to help myself and the environment. Perhaps reducing my household energy would reduce my ecological footprint or even purchasing locally grown food. Taking transit rather then a car would also greatly help my ecological footprint or car pooling with someone else. Even taking a bike for transportation would reduce my ecological foot print. The results I got make me feel disappointed in myself. I would much rather want to go back and fix all my issues and mistake in order to make my ecological footprint much better. The results of 8.3 global hectares have greatly made me feel devastated. I would change so many factors of my daily routine, for example showering for a lower amount of time, or even changing my light bulbs to florescent. Instead of driving my car everyday of 35km i would start parking at a train station and begin taking transit. I believe that the quiz indeed does show a fair representation of how green I am. It is devastating to believe in this, however I guess it’s the truth. I believe its time to take action to Improve myself and start being a good ecological citizen....
