SUMMARY Being a student of Biotechnology, I have chosen to conduct a research on the antibacterial activity of honey and garlic against the pathogenic bacteria. Use of traditional remedy to cure bacterial infections will be really beneficial to mankind. BACKGROUND Topics related to Biotechnology, which were considered for the formal report were following :   

Enumeration of coliforms from water sample Preservative effectiveness test Antibacterial activity of honey and garlic

After reviewing these topics, I chose to pursue my research on the antibacterial activity of honey and garlic against the pathogenic bacteria. This subjected is selected because when pathogens become resistant to antibiotics due to the proliferation of bacteria, some alternative natural remedy is required to heal the infections. PROPOSAL DETAILS 1)Proposed Plan : The validation of antibacterial activity of honey and garlic extract against pathogenic bacteria will be carried out on the basis of the information that will be gathered. Source of information will be peer reviewed journal articles, e-books and online sources. The topic sections for the formal report will be broken into following :     

2) Feasibility : This research is really crucial in the field of Biotechnology as bacteria become immune to standard antibiotics after some time. This research has the potential to improve people’s lives because different concentrations of honey and garlic are able to suppress the effect of pathogens.

This research can be completed easily within the given time period. Moreover, all the resources needed for the accomplishment of this project are available.
