Environmental problems Environmental problems are all those that make it difficult to enjoy the human right to have a healthy environment. Interestingly, the human being himself, promoting soil contamination or destroying habitats, is the one that is putting obstacles in the way of this right being effective. the first factors of contamination are these: 1. Water pollution, This is one of the biggest problems that humanity will face in the near future, it will be the scarcity of drinking water due to climate change and the increase in periods of drought. This, added to the high levels of contamination that water sources are suffering, is causing us to have less safe water for consumption. 2. Air pollution, the release of substances into the atmosphere that alter its composition and make it harmful to man, animals or plants. Some of the most polluting substances are: carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide or nitrogen oxide. 3. Accumulation of solid waste, In Mexico, around 100,000 tons of domestic garbage are produced every day, this is equivalent to about 37 million tons of urban solid waste dumped each year in landfills, garbage dumps or dumps. Garbage is an important source of pollution for the environment, since it is very difficult to dispose of waste. Choose in your purchases products that do not use packaging, for example, look for stores that sell in bulk or buy products that are not packaged. Leave out the plastics and buy products that come in reusable containers, such as glass, returnable or refillable containers. 4. Forest fires, In recent years, forest fires have devastated forests and landscapes, aggravating the environmental and climatic situation worldwide. Fires cause rising temperatures, prolonged dry spells – leading to more dry soil – and heat waves. These are just some of the consequences that fires have on the environment. Fires worsen climate change and, in turn, climate change intensifies the appearance of these. Therefore, it is essential to make society aware of the importance of forest fire prevention from individual action. Someone who knows what actions help prevent forest fires can save lives, including the planet....
