CNS- confusion, pain,fever

2. Prevent DVT and PE after knee or hip surgery

CV - edema, peripheral edema

3. Prevent ischemic complications of unstable angina

GI - nausea, diarrhea

Bleeding complications

Use cautiously and monitor patient for bleeding

Renal impairment

Reduce dosage in adult above 75 to prevent severe renal impairment

Dyspnea

Patient should be monitor at any time

Anaphylaxis

Allergic reaction should be treated immediately to avoid fatality

Likely Medication/Food Interactions: -Drug -drug - anticoagulant, antiplatelet drugs, NSAIDs may increase risk of bleeding. Use together cautiously and monitor patient for bleeding -Herbal drugs may increase risk of bleeding. Discourage using together. Administration/Interventions/Evaluation of Effectiveness/Laboratory Work -Flush IV access with sufficient amount of saline or dextrose solution before and after IV bolus administration-Do not massage after subcut injection. Watch for signs of bleeding at site, rotate sites and keep records.-lab work - may decrease HB level, May decrease platelet count
