INTRODUCTION
Environmental problems are being faced here in the Philippines and one of most common problem is the pollution. Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. These harmful materials are called pollutants. Pollutants can be natural, such as volcanic ash. They can also be created by human activity, such as trash or runoff produced by factories. Pollutants damage the quality of air, water, and land. This project proposal mainly focuses on Solid Waste Pollution, specifically the single used and plastic wastes. A school is a place where students spend most of their time within a day. It is a special environment that exists to improve the learning process of children. Aside from quality education, health and security of the children are one of the top concerns of nearly every parent and school official. It is understood that a clean and healthy school environment not only does affect students but the teachers and other school staff as well. Due to the increasing numbers of plastic bottles usage and single used wastes, the researcher analyzes to recreate the idea that will help reduce waste pollution in school. The project Plastic Bottle into Broom is a proposal that implements the recycling of plastic bottles into school brooms that promotes the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The target area and respondents of the project is inside FEU Diliman and the staffs and students who belong in the university. Each of the students and staffs will bring bottles and each class or department will group to create the recycled broom. There will be no budget intended for this project because the materials will be used are recyclable wastes.
MAJOR FINDINGS OF EIA and ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OVERVIEW
Development Project
Plastic Bottle into Broom
Preliminary Operation
EIA: Yes Alternatives: There are no alternatives
Description of the Project
Issue to consider: Are the respondents willing to cooperate and will help finish the projects as a group? Purpose: To help reduce the number of plastic wastes in FEU Diliman; To recreate the waste in to a reusable material; To implement the 3R; To help maintain a clean environment in the campus. Methodology: The respondents need to bring bottles and long used thick stick that are reusable for the proposal. The plastic bottles will be cut into strips, cutting the top of the bottle and inserting the hole to the stick. Secure parts with nail or rope.
Identification, Measurement, Prediction, Evaluation and Synthesis of Impacts
The Plastic Bottle into Broom project is a long-term practice that a group of persons or individuals can do. If the target implemented this proposal, this will help the environment and the safety and health of the people inside the campus. Positive Impact: Help reduce waste; Global sustainability; More practical; can be implemented everywhere.
REGULATORY/STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS Regulations
The group of respondents are required to bring plastic bottles and reusable stick for the broomstick. They can buy the stick if they are no available used stick or the researcher suggest to get the old broomstick from the used brooms that are not needed.
As this will be implemented, this will be used inside the campus or the respondents can take it home if there is an excess.
Requirement(s):
Bring plastic bottles. Bring stick that can be used as a broomstick
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PROPOSED
The Plastic Bottle into Broom can be classified as solid waste management proposal that prevents the increase number of plastic wastes. This will also give ideas to every person that there are practical ways that can also help maintain a clean and healthy environment in easy ways.

IMPLEMENTATION ARRANGEMENTS and INSTITUTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS
The project proposal Plastic Bottle into Broom promotes the reuse, reduce and recycle. In accordance to the law through the Republic Act (RA) 9003, otherwise known as Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM) Act of 2000, that also mandated the creation of Solid Waste Management to implement and develop solid waste management plans. Solid-waste management is the collecting, treating, and disposing of solid material that is discarded because it has served its purpose or is no longer useful. Improper disposal of municipal solid waste can create unsanitary conditions, and these conditions in turn can lead to pollution of the environment and to outbreaks of vector-borne disease—that is, diseases spread by rodents and insects. The tasks of solid-waste management present complex technical challenges. They also pose a wide variety of administrative, economic, and social problems that must be managed and solved. The Plastic Bottle into Broom proposal has been created as a DIY household ideas of reusing plastic bottles but have not been implemented by the authorities and local governments. Thus, creating this can be part of the ecological solid waste management. The Barangay community can start off the proposal that can lead to wide range of the community authorizing the project. Modern solid-waste management projects in most developed countries now emphasize the practice of recycling and waste reduction at the source rather than incineration and land disposal.
MONITORING MECHANISM The authority inside FEU Diliman may plan a one-year track as the policy is being implemented. Higher positive results lead to successful effect of the project proposal and may fully promulgate the usage of plastic bottles into brooms for the maintenance.
