Guidelines in utilizing film to reflect in nursing course for experiential learning...
Nurs 334, Physiologic Integrity I, Spring 2021 Public health film viewing and discussion/reflection paper You will sign up via TEAMS to a group of 6-7 students; and you will watch one of four available public health documentary films. After individually watching the films, you will be given time in class and on your own to work in groups to write a reflective essay answering the following questions. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
What moved you? What inspired you? What surprised you? What information was new to you? How is the theme or purpose of the film relevant to nursing and health care? What implications for national and global health were described? What are the possible impacts on family and society from the issues raised by the film? During your future career as a nurse, how can you take leadership in mitigating the challenges described in the film?
Please write a paper by committee among your 6-7 members. You may divide up the work, and you will be presenting a document of response involving everyone in the group. Our suggestion would be for each student to take a question, while getting some feedback from other students on their thoughts as well so that the paper includes the viewpoints of all students. Please post this work to the D2L Assignment dropbox by February 21 at 2359 and include all your names in each sections/question you completed for the assignment. Thank you!...
