The author uses phrases and words in a suspenseful way to change the way the reader feels about the setting and atmosphere. 2) The author created many occasions with Imagery and phrases to help build the setting and characters that were in this short story. 3) The author created personalities to help the reader understand and feel that this character is a real person. 4) The author looks to expect the reader to feel an emotional connection with the short story and characters in the story. He uses many situations such as how he pointed fortunato for being a bad guy in this story. 5) The main theme of this story is grit. The man had the grit to hurt his family and cause other injuries. The theme grit shows how this man felt towards his faimly and how this caused the story. It shows why he did what he did....
