Haiku Assignment

Instructions: Choose ONE (1) character from Romeo and Juliet and write a Haiku poem about that character. Think about who the character is and everything we know about them so far in the story including: personality, physical description, ways of talking, what they say, what they do, what others say about them and how others react to them … in other words CHARACTERIZATION. In 3 short lines provide a snapshot of that character (try to go beyond the obvious).  Remember to follow proper haiku format (3 lines with 5-7-5 syllables)  Provide a title for your poem  Create a visual background to enhance the poem (a picture/ symbol to show your point about the character)

To get started: 1. First choose your character and then brainstorm important things about that character (use the character web provided). 2.
